The Grand Lodge of Nevada convened in Eureka, NV, to dedicate the Eureka County School District Athletic Facility on August 26th, 2016. The ceremony was well attended by Brethren from all across the state of Nevada, some of whom drove through the night to show their support for this time honored tradition of Masonry.

The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons in Nevada was opened in due form by M.W. Mark L. Mancha, Grand Master at the temple of Eureka Lodge #16 at 9am.

…from time immemorial, upon due invitation, to assemble the craft, and with appropriate ceremonies, consecrate and dedicate public buildings…

The Brethren formed in Grand Procession at the new Athletic Facility before taking their respective stations and places at the ceremony site.

The structuring was tried by the square, level, and plumb; and consecrated with corn, wine, and oil per the ancient traditions of Masonry.

The craftsmen have performed their duty.

The Eureka County School District Athletic Facility will be a centerpiece of the community of Eureka and surrounding areas. It has a full gymnasium for basketball and volleyball, a weight training room, a cardio training room, indoor track, and multi-use areas that can be used for dance, wrestling, and even baseball practice.

The Masons of Nevada should be proud to have performed their time-honored tradition of consecrating public buildings; that this structure may serve the community of Eureka for years to come.
